What is Chartering?
Chartering is the University’s process for a club/organization to be recognized by the University. Here are some of the benefits of being a chartered club/organization at SSU:
-
A mailbox in the Student Involvement Office on the 2nd floor of the Student Center
-
Police Services for on campus events with more than 100 guests
-
Banking services through Associated Students
-
Access to funding through Associated Students
-
Reserving space on campus
-
Participation in campus-wide club events (Involvement Fairs, Big Nite, Club Week)
All clubs/organizations are required to charter annually through the Student Involvement office in order to stay recognized. Please contact the Student Involvement office at studentinvolvement@sonoma.edu or come visit us on the 2nd Floor of the Student Center for more information.
